Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute: Advanced Level I Somatic Experiencing Training

Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate Level III

• Learn about the relationship of trauma to various clinical syndromes.

• Further integrate SE theory and practice into the specialty area of the therapist.

• SE bodywork in working with the different categories of trauma.

• Application of research in the psychophysiology of trauma.

• The ‘art’ of therapy.

• Special topics including work with children and infants.

The Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute is a non-profit, educational and research organization dedicated to the worldwide healing and prevention of trauma. We provide professional training in Somatic Experiencing® a body-awareness approach to trauma developed by Peter A. Levine, PhD, which is being taught throughout the world. We also provide outreach to under-served populations and victims of violence, war and natural disasters. SE® restores self-regulation, and returns a sense of aliveness, relaxation and wholeness to traumatized individuals. Dr. Levine has applied his work to combat veterans, rape survivors, Holocaust survivors, auto accident and post-surgical trauma, chronic pain sufferers, and even to infants after suffering traumatic births.
