In the US, most of us spend nearly 90% of our time indoors, so the quality of our built environment intimately affects our lives.  It also powerfully impacts the climate.  42% of greenhouse gas emissions in the US come from the building sector. The green building professionals who gathered at the Garrison Institute last week for the 5th Annual Climate, Buildings and Behavior (CBB) Symposium work to ensure the impacts of their buildings are positive, on health and well-being as well as on the environment. They are passionate about creating healthy spaces for residents in multi-family residential and commercial buildings in cities across the country.
