Join is for this in-person first-of-a-kind immersion retreat. Rev. Dr. Cynthia Bourgeault will take us on a deep dive into the profoundly Christian and incarnational mysticism at the root of Jean Gebser’s Integral Evolutionary theory.
This will be a silent Centering Prayer immersion retreat, most suitable to those with an established Centering Prayer practice and prior familiarity with Thomas Keating’s teachings on The Human Condition and The Divine Therapy. Experienced practitioners on other meditational paths are also warmly invited to join this deep dive into Thomas Keating’s final teachings on unity consciousness and nondual awakening.
A time apart to listen, to reflect, to be still, and come to know deeply that the Christian contemplative journey is about opening and consenting to the divine presence and action in a process of interior transformation. Centering Prayer is about transferring the will to the heart; it might be called the practice of “Heartfulness.”
During Passover, the Festival of Liberation, we are urged to feel as if we too are being brought into a wide expanse of freedom and possibility. On this pre-Pesach retreat, we will engage in practices to lift our spirits, soften our hearts, and expand our awareness so that courage, inspiration, and connection can rise and guide us forward.
