Larry Yang interviewed at the Garrison Institute

In this wide-ranging video interview, meditation teacher and psychotherapist Larry Yang discusses his experience as a gay man of color, his discovery of how Buddhist practice gave him “freedom from suffering around the cultural experience of difference,” his time as a monastic in Thailand, and how Insight Meditation, which derives from Southeast Asian traditions, relates to contemporary, multicultural society in North America.  Yang and colleagues will return to the Institute in 2014 to lead a retreat for LGBTIQ communities.
