Contemplative-Based Resilience Project

At the Garrison Institute, we know that people who join helping professions do so because you care deeply about the fate of people in need. Our Contemplative-Based Resilience (CBR) Project is here for you.

CBR is an experiential skill-building program that will help you develop practices that enhance and sustain physiological and psychological resilience, so that you may “be well to serve well”. The
CBR curriculum incorporates secular, mindfulness practices; psychosocial education about the effects of acute and chronic stress on the body and mind; mindful movement practices; and
facilitated self-reflection exercises.

Learn the ABCs of Resilience

Anchored by the ABCs of Resilience— Awareness, Balance and Connection—the CBR curriculum includes a toolkit of skills to manage stress and improve self-care, self-awareness, creative thinking and concentration. By equipping professional service providers with skills to
cultivate personal resilience, whole communities are strengthened, moving our society toward a resilient future.
