An Evening of Contemplative Prayer

Contemplative prayer initiates a process of interior transformation that can lead us to divine union. Through this process, one’s way of seeing reality changes, along with a restructuring of consciousness that takes place thus empowering one to perceive, relate, and respond to everyday life with increasing sensitivity to the divine Presence – in, through, and beyond everything that happens. This process unfolds as a journey from the mind to the heart, or you can call it simply: Heartfulness.

You are invited to join Fr. Carl Arico, Mary Anne Best, and Gail Fitzpatrick-Hopler at the Garrison Institute for an evening of Centering Prayer, a short video featuring Father Thomas Keating, and time of reflection and Q&A about contemplative prayer. We will end our evening with Compline– night prayer in the monastic tradition.

This event is free and open to the community. Space is limited and registration is required.
