Book Event: Sabeeha Rehman Presents her Memoir Threading My Prayer Rug

Sabeeha Rehman presents her memoir Threading My Prayer Rug, a richly textured reflection on what it is to be a Muslim in America today. Q&A to follow.

Sabeeha Rehman was born and raised in Pakistan. She came to the U.S. in 1971 after a hurried arranged marriage to a Pakistani doctor. She navigated the challenges of raising two sons in the Muslim tradition but in the U.S. culture. 9/11 changed their lives, compelling her to work for interfaith dialogue. Her memoir, Threading My Prayer Rug, was listed as 2017 Top 10 Diverse non-fiction books.

The Garrison Institute is proud to host this event in partnership with Split Rock Books and the Desmond Fish Public Library.
