In-Person: 2020 Yoga Retreat for Women: Calm in the Whirlwind 7.0 with Ingrid A. Marcroft

Please join us for our seventh annual, and much-needed, women’s yoga retreat and be nourished by a warm and supportive circle of powerful women as we practice yoga, share our stories, enjoy wonderful meals, walk the labyrinth, explore Garrison’s natural beauty, and restore together.

More than we could have ever imagined, this year has been tumultuous on a global and personal level. We are probably all frazzled, weary, frustrated, stunned, and grieving. When we take the time to step out of our regular world, slow down, absorb the breath of life in a new and beautiful environment, and spend time with other inspiring women, we change on a cellular level, find a new level of calm within us, and can live more joyfully and satisfyingly when we return home.

This beautiful late-autumn weekend includes juicy yoga practices (both active and restorative, all levels welcome), along with labyrinth walks, personal time, circle time for sharing stories and reflection, and wonderful conversations with new and old friends.

The intensity of the yoga practice will range from gentle and restorative to strong. Practitioners of all levels are welcome, and we will modify as needed. Chairs and cushions are available, as are mats and blocks. Bring a yoga strap and blanket if you have one, and your own mat if you like. And, everything is optional! It’s YOUR weekend. You could just stay in bed most of the weekend, if that’s what you need most! : )

You’ll feel restored after a weekend of moving, resting, being quiet, listening, speaking, connecting, laughing, crying, making friends, eating great food, and soaking in the spirit of this magical place. (Clothing note: Bring layers and please bring rubber boots of some kind for the labyrinth walk! It gets wet!)

Ingrid A. Marcroft is co-founder of the NYC-based yoga studio Upper West Side Yoga and Wellness, an E-RYT500 Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor, Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, Ordained Interfaith Minister, Reiki Master, Spouse, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend, and has been a healing facilitator with extremely diverse populations for over two decades. Yoga is her main tool for inner and outer peace.
