In-Person: Dhyana : Meditation in Yoga-Vedanta
We will learn of the various meditation traditions – their philosophies and practices – in Yoga, Bhakti, Advaita and Kashmir Shaivism. There will be multiple practice sessions where we learn both basic and advanced techniques of meditation from these traditions.

Swami Sarvapriyananda is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order and since January 6, 2017 has served as the Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York. Prior to this, he was assistant minister of the Vedanta Society of Southern California for 13 months, beginning December 3, 2015. Swami joined the Ramakrishna Math and Mission in 1994 and received Sannyas in 2004. He served as an Acharya (teacher) of the monastic probationers’ training center at Belur Math, Kolkata, India. He has served the Ramakrishna Math and Mission in various capacities including, as the Vice Principal of the Deoghar Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Principal of the Shikshana Mandira Teacher Education College at Belur Math, and the first Registrar of the Vivekananda University at Belur Math, India. Swami Sarvapriyananda is a prolific teacher of Advaita Vedanta. His many talks and lectures are available on YouTube where he has a wide international audience. He recently completed a sabbatical study at the Harvard School of Divinity and is the Nagral fellow of the class of 2020.
