In Person: Goddess Archetype Day Retreat: Embodying Your Divine Self Autumn Edition
Join Melia Marzollo and Masha Schmidt of the Ascend Center (Cold Spring) for a day of contemplative practices including yoga. We will explore Goddess archetypes, seasonal self care practices, and moon phase alignment to prepare ourselves for the colder months ahead. You will come away from this experience with practical suggestions on how the Goddess archetypes can support the important work of becoming your most vibrant self.
About the workshop:
The day will feature two 30-minute Yoga Nidra Meditation Practices. Yoga Nidra or “enlightened sleep” as a meditation practice, can engender a profound sense of joy and well-being; the goal of our time together. As we shed the layers of tension and daily noise, we move closer to our true nature, our divine lightness of being.
The program will also include storytelling, journaling, art, joyful movement, nourishing local meals, herbal tea for the season, and a meditative nature walk. We will conclude with a bonfire and closing ritual to ignite the intentions we set throughout the retreat. Together we hold the light for one another to shine brighter.
In the shared space of sisterhood – we will delve into an exploration of the sacred divine feminine as embodied by the Maiden, Lover, Mother and Crone. We will offer practical methods for utilizing these archetypes in daily life. This mini retreat offers a chance to step away from daily life, into the liminal space of elemental and moon phase magic. Topics covered will include setting up an altar, seasonal self care, cross cultural magical symbols, and moon phase energetics.
This retreat requires no previous experience and is not specific to any one spiritual path. All who seek sisterhood are welcome. Workshop materials and all meals provided. We will be outdoors so dress accordingly.
Saturday, October 3rd 11:00-8:00 at the Garrison Institute
Cost: $189 with materials and meals included
Rain Date: Sunday, October 4th
This is a supportive space for ALL people that identify with sisterhood. We pledge to create affordable options and scholarships for sisters who may require assistance. Please send emails regarding financial assistance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
