In Person: Seven Day Retreat with Rupert Spira
To attend this retreat all guests, teachers, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. A medical exemption with documentation from a doctor requires a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival as well as a personal quarantine for 72 hours before arriving on site.
In his meetings, Rupert explores the perennial, non-dual understanding that lies at the heart of all the great religious and spiritual traditions, such as Advaita Vedanta, Kashmir Shivaism, Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Mystical Christianity, Sufism, Zen, and so on, and which is also the direct, ever-present reality of our own experience.
This is a contemporary, experiential approach involving silent meditation, guided meditation, and conversation, and requires no affiliation to any particular religious or spiritual tradition. All that is required is an interest in the essential nature of experience, and in the longing for love, peace, and happiness around which most of our lives revolve.
Retreats are a wonderful way to connect to the teaching and to the community beginning with dinner on the first day, followed by a short welcome and the first meeting. There will be two meetings on each full day, finishing with lunch on the final day. Morning meetings consist of silent and guided meditation; afternoon meetings will be dialogues with Rupert during which time attendees can discuss any questions that arise during the course of the week.
