OneDanceTribe New York International Conscious Movement Gathering

Open to the public. Before registering for room and board with the Garrison Institute, please register for the program here.

OneDanceTribe is an international community of people practicing conscious movement as a pathway for personal and global transformation.

These events have brought together teachers, presenters, healers, dancers, musicians, artists, and community leaders from all over the planet to share an experience of gathering as One Global Tribe. The events also provide facilitators with a unique opportunity to exchange and learn from one another, weaving their inspirations and moving as ONE.

Our mission is to awaken love in our hearts and contribute to the creation of a peaceful and prosperous global community. We work to create a field of love, inclusion, and abundance that supports the shift from fear to trust and separation to unity.

Amara Pagano is the creator of Azul conscious movement practice, a path of personal transformation that utilizes movement to support awakening consciousness. Azul harnesses the body’s intelligence to facilitate inner healing and evolution using movement combined with a psycho-spiritual approach as a vehicle for exploration. Azul recognizes that as we transform ourselves we create the conditions for our world to transform.

Amara is also the co-founder of the global conscious movement community OneDanceTribe that creates events with teachers and presenters of different modalities for the purpose of creating a unified, collaborative field to support personal and collective evolution. Amara has been teaching movement as a spiritual practice for 25 years and travels throughout Europe, Australia, andNorth and South America teaching Azul workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings.

Vinn Arjuna Martí of Soul Motion melds spiritual teachings, philosophy, deep body awareness, and kick ass dance to create a conscious awareness of the body and the soul.
His work is playful, deep, reverent, curious, and he specifically uses sensory body movement, somatic, visceral, and reflective landscapes in his teachings. Referencing all different “wisdom traditions” and artists, his spicy, raunchy Bronx boy flavor is charismatic, mischievous, and immediate, and his own reflective practice brings a humbleness and self-irony that is refreshing and appealing.

Somebody who meditates in the morning, moans at the news, and moves as the mystery, Arjuna has this ability to charm and disarm his students. A sensitive, yet wild man, Arjuna is a master of movement ritual, who supports his students in listening to their bodies as a pathway to understanding their inner critics and inhibitions.

Amber Ryan is an international 5Rhythms facilitator who has been steeped in movement meditation for 18 years. With a strong background in dance, theatre, and freeing the natural voice, she takes seekers on transformative 5Rhythms journeys focused on embodiment and energetics, supported by the deep and eclectic music journeys she weaves. Amber trained with 5Rhythms founder Gabrielle Roth for 10 years in NYC, is on the annual staff for Omega at Blue Spirit, has guided ecstatic spaces at Burning Man, Envision Festival, Wanderlust, Bonnaroo Music Festival, and a zillion 5Rhythms® dance floors across the globe. She is also an event producer, who brings people together to deepen our connection to soul and elevate the human spirit.

Amber lives nomadically between Boulder, Nosara, New York and the world, sharing her passion and love for the dancing path.

Christian de Sousa (London/Devon, UK) is a dancer, movement facilitator, DJ, artist, and Dad. He first experienced the liberation of dancing as a teenage raver, eventually meeting Gabrielle Roth and the 5Rhythms in 1998, training as a teacher in 2005, and going on to build a vibrant community within the London tribe.

Having studied and mentored with Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan throughout this time, he was deeply moved by the subtle power of Movement Medicine (MM) and became one of the first MM ‘pathfinder’ teachers in 2010. Christian is core faculty for the School of Movement Medicine, whilst continuing to practice and teach the Rhythms and occasionally experimenting with his own emerging map, dancingTao, a synthesis of these two and other influences. He founded the dTc (dancingTao collective) an engaged group of facilitators, artists, therapists, and other dancing agents of change – and is the creator of the book and multimedia art project Postcards from Babylon – a rough guide to liberation. Favorite fruit/nut combination: peaches and almonds, eaten in the sun.
