Unfurling the Future Scroll
Presented by Ayin Press and the Garrison Institute

Please join us for the inaugural Ayin Symposium—catalyzed by the vision of Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, celebrating the radical new pathways in Jewish thought and practice he helped inspire.
Through panel discussions, experiential workshops, collaborative rituals, and musical offerings, participants will gather in shared inquiry to explore:
- Jewish mysticism and embodied spiritual practice — reclaiming the inner life of Torah in a time of communal trauma.
- Joyous and deep encounters across traditions — when the world is fracturing along religious fault lines, what might a new model of interspiritual collaboration look like?
- Psychedelics, ecological consciousness, and the sacred — Reb Zalman’s daring synthesis, more urgent than ever.
- Social justice, technology, and the arts — the next generation carries the flame.

About Rabbi Zalman Schacter-Shalomi (1924-2014)
Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi (1924–2014), better known as Reb Zalman, set a paradigm shift in motion, and it’s still moving; a future scroll we unfurl together in fragments. During his colorful, countercultural life, Reb Zalman was considered one of the foremost transmitters of Kabbalistic wisdom, and was one of the key initiators of both the American Neo-Hasidic renaissance and the deep ecumenism movement. A close collaborator with Father Thomas Keating, Thomas Merton, Ram Dass, and the Dalai Lama, Reb Zalman was also an ordained Sufi Sheikh in the Iniyati lineage and World Wisdom Chair Emeritus at Naropa University. A singular figure in American Judaism and world spirituality, Reb Zalman’s vision of a planetary-minded, progressive Jewish spiritual future continues to inspire generations of seekers worldwide.
