The Garrison Institute Forum: Pathways to Planetary Health – David Simas and Jonathan F.P. Rose
On Thursday, June 4th at 4:00pm EDT, we launch The Garrison Institute Forum with a conversation between David Simas, CEO of The Obama Foundation, and Garrison Institute Co-Founder Jonathan F. P. Rose. These interactive sessions aim to expand our understanding around how each of us can play a role in supporting a regenerative, just and prosperous world, nurturing the health and wellbeing of all of life.
This live webinar will be conducted on Zoom at 4pm EDT on Thursday, June 4th. The webinar link will be emailed to participants within twenty-four hours of your registration. Registration for this live webinar closes at 3pm EDT on June 4th. Please note that participation in the live webinar on Zoom is limited to the first 1,000 attendees. We will also be live-streaming this program on our Youtube.

David Simas is the Chief Executive Officer of the Obama Foundation. A native of Taunton, Massachusetts, he was appointed Deputy Chief of Staff to Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick in 2007. Simas then joined President Obama’s administration in 2009 as a Deputy Assistant to the President, working with senior advisors David Axelrod and David Plouffe. In 2012, he served as Director of Opinion Research for President Obama’s reelection campaign. Following the reelection, Simas returned to the White House as Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Political Strategy and Outreach. Simas holds a B.A. in political science from Stonehill College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. He serves on the national board of directors of OneGoal and lives in Chicago with his wife, Shauna, and their two daughters.
Jonathan F.P. Rose’s business, public policy, and not-for-profit work focus on creating a more environmentally, socially, and economically responsible world. Jonathan and his wife Diana Calthorpe Rose are the co-founders of the Garrison Institute. He serves on its Board and leads its Pathways to Planetary Health program.
