The Garrison Institute Forum: Pathways to Planetary Health- Tony Hiss and Jonathan F. P. Rose
On Thursday, May 13 at 2:00 pm EDT, join acclaimed author, New Yorker writer, scholar, and visionary Tony Hiss in a conversation with Garrison Institute co-founder Jonathan F.P. Rose about the fascinating possibilities of “Half-Earth” – the call to conserve half of Earth’s land and oceans to safeguard biodiversity and regenerate ecosystems. Hiss explores the Half-Earth theory and how it can be implemented practically in the latest of his 15 books, Rescuing the Planet: Protecting Half the Land to Heal the Earth, which Kirkus praised for its “passion, inspiration, and rigor.”
This interactive online event is part of a continuing series in the Garrison Institute’s Forum on Pathways to Planetary Health (PPH). Building on the Garrison Institute’s earlier Climate, Mind and Behavior (CMB) program, Pathways to Planetary Health explores the moral, ethical, and human behavioral dimensions of the search for regenerative solutions, including Half-Earth, Ecological Civilization, Regenerative Economics, and Societal Altruism.
This live webinar will be conducted on Zoom at 2 pm EDT on Thursday, May 13. The webinar link will be emailed to participants within twenty-four hours of registration.
