Timeless Wisdom, Timely Action: Lifespan Learning Institute’s Interpersonal Neurobiology Conference
Lifespan Learning Institute’s Annual Interpersonal Neurobiology Conference is presented in collaboration with InsightLA, The Garrison Institute, Mindsight Institute, & UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center. Please note that this event takes place at the Marina del Rey Marriott in Marina del Rey, California.
We can learn the tools to help us make a difference in how our inner awareness and changes in our relationship with the world around us can support the cultivation of well-being in our lives. This gathering of scientists, clinicians, contemplative practitioners, ecological activists and others engaging in direct conversations about how to harness the human capacity to alter cultural evolution for wise action has never been more timely than right now.
We will be diving into a range of experiential practices with teachers such as Jon Kabat-Zinn, Trudy Goodman Kornfield, and Jack Kornfield. We’ll explore practical ways of nurturing global health with Diane Ackerman, who will be receiving the first John O’Donohue Poetics of Possibility Award at our event, and Paul Hawken, the inspiration for the pivotal work, Drawdown. Further, other speakers including: Helen Weng, Larry Yang, John Milton, Reverends angel Kyodo williams and Ed Bacon, and Rabbi Dr. Bradley Shavit Artson. All speakers will be weaving insights from science and spirituality.
Kicking off our three-day gathering will be a pre-conference workshop with Otto Scharmer, Peter Senge, and colleagues to help us develop the skills of awareness-based systems change. All of this and more will be provided in the setting of building connection and community as we take steps together to cultivate resilience and a culture of compassion and integrity in our challenging contemporary times.
CE credit hours for psychologists, therapists, physicians, and other medical professions are offered by the Lifespan Learning Institute.
