Virtual Retreat: “Experiencing Insight and Love” with Sharon Salzberg & Joseph Goldstein
In times of uncertainty and change, we can draw on Buddhist teachings to help us move beyond constricting habitual patterns such as fear, denial, and despair. Awakening our inner capacities for compassion, wisdom, and joy, we learn to transform our worldview from one of isolation and confusion to one of connection and clarity. We can open to a power of faith and courage based on seeing things just as they are.
By engaging in traditional practices of mindfulness and lovingkindness, we develop insight through greater awareness of the full range of our experiences, and deepen compassion for ourselves and others.
This one-day virtual retreat is suitable for both new and experienced meditators.
Joseph Goldstein is a cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society and the Barre Center for Buddhist studies, both in Barre, Massachusetts. He has also coauthored books with Sharon Salzberg and Jack Kornfield. Joseph has studied and practiced meditation since 1967 under the guidance of eminent teachers from India, Burma, and Tibet and he leads Insight Meditation retreats around the world.
