SUMMARY:5-Night Silent Retreat with Mukti
DESCRIPTION:A longing to feel alive comes from an inherent knowing of what it is to truly live. You know when you’re awake to life and when you’re in a haze. You know when you’re leaning in and when you’re holding back. \nThis retreat will delve into the heart of our existence\, as life Itself. Mukti will point participants to their essential Self\, prior to personal identities\, roles\, history\, or future. She’ll also focus on how to nurture remembrance of Self nature—free of definitions and divisions. \nTo support this remembrance\, Mukti will offer talks\, periods of satsang (Q&A sessions exploring the nature of essential Truth)\, and guided meditations. This retreat will also provide several periods of daily\, silent group meditation\, as well as time to rest and enjoy the natural surroundings. Outside of satsang\, participants will be observing silence. All components of this retreat\, especially the maintaining of silence\, are provided to further conscious knowing of our ever-present\, undivided nature. \n  \nREGISTRATION\n\nRegistration is a two-part process: \n\nPlease register for the program fee on the Open Gate Sangha website.\nAfter receiving registration confirmation from Open Gate Sangha\, please register for lodging at the Garrison Institute by clicking the blue Register button near the top of this page.\n\n  \nTEACHER\n  \n \nMukti\, whose name is translated as “liberation\,” is the head teacher and administrator of Open Gate Sangha\, where she has taught in the lineage of Adyashanti since 2004. Her teaching methods are founded in meditation\, self-inquiry\, and body awareness. Mukti expresses a power of stillness\, as well as feminine nurturing and a refreshing down-to-earth humanity. For teaching excerpts\, audio downloads\, qi gong videos\, and a calendar of Mukti’s current programs\, visit: www.muktisource.org. \n  \n  \n  \nCOVID-19 \nThe health and safety of our guests and staff is a top priority for the Garrison Institute. To attend a retreat or event all guests\, teachers\, and staff are required to self-test (at home antigen test is acceptable) within the 48-hour window prior to arriving for a retreat on site\, and to bring a 2nd self-test kit when coming on site. We encourage everyone to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and other illnesses before your visit.
