SUMMARY:A Taste of Liberation - A Dzogchen Approach: A Retreat with Tsoknyi Rinpoche
DESCRIPTION:This open retreat is appropriate for both beginner and advanced students alike\, and has no prerequisites for attendance. \nThe curriculum follows a progression through Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s Fully Being practices\, including Dropping\, Handshake\, Essence Love\, Gentle Vase Breathing\, Shamatha\, and Vipassana. \nIt typically culminates with Rinpoche giving the pointing out instructions to nature of mind\, and follow up teachings on Dzogchen-style meditation. While the subjects may be familiar to those who have received teachings from Tsoknyi Rinpoche before\, Rinpoche is constantly updating his teaching methods and perspective\, offering new practices and teachings with each successive retreat. \n  \nIN-PERSON RETREAT\nThis retreat is held at Garrison Institute\, in Garrison\, NY. He is truly a bridge between ancient wisdom and the modern mind. Tsoknyi Rinpoche is the author of numerous books which include Why We Meditate\, co-authored by Daniel Goleman\, and Open Heart\, Open Mind. \nTsoknyi Rinpoche teaches and provides spiritual guidance to thousands of nuns and monks at more than 50 retreat centers in Tibet\, India\, and Nepal.
