The purpose of the Garrison Institute’s Spirituality & Social Change program is to make visible and help catalyze a generative field at the intersection of contemplative practice, spirituality, and social change.

Online Communities

We host free, donation-supported online meditation sessions with experienced teachers and supportive peers. These online communities of practice include a weekly BIPOC meditation gathering, a monthly LGBTQIA+ meditation circle, and an open-to-all mindfulness meditation every Wednesday.

Contemplative-Based Resilience

Developing and delivering evidence-based tools for helping professionals to strengthen resilience and foster connection, so they can "be well to serve well."

Pathways to Planetary Health

Advancing our understanding of planetary health and how the wellbeing of humans and the Earth interconnect, centering both scientific inquiry and contemplative wisdom.

Retreats

We offer a rich array of programs from in-person multidays to online communities with leaders from diverse wisdom traditions, contemporary disciplines, and change fields.
