A GUIDED SENSORY WALK IN NATURE
You are invited to join us this Labor Day for a guided forest bathing walk through the woods and hiking trails of the Garrison Institute grounds, led by certified forest therapy guide Fru Molnar.
Drawing on the practices of Shinrin‑yoku (Japanese-style forest bathing), this session is designed not as a hike, but as an immersive opportunity to suspend the rush of everyday life and enter into the embrace of nature with awareness and presence.
Participants will be guided through soft invitations to engage all senses, to deeply connect with the land and themselves, and to explore their surroundings: pausing with a tree, tuning in to the sound of the river, noticing textures, or simply sitting quietly beneath the canopy.
Expect a tranquil, small-group setting that allows space for reflection, optional sharing, and stillness. All fitness levels are welcome; we’ll move slowly and with intention through the woods.
WHAT TO BRING
Please arrive ten minutes early, dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water.
Note: Spots are limited for this event to keep the group intimate (no more than 30 participants).
