Please join us Sept 18th through 21st for the second in-person convening of Further Together.
We’ll gather in New York at the picturesque Garrison Institute, a former Capuchin monastery alongside the Hudson River. The tone and structure will be spacious, collegial, and restorative – ahead of what we know will be a busy Climate Week – but our agenda also aims to disrupt, provoke, and inspire new possibilities for our community.

What: In-person retreat for FT executive, comms, and scenarios groups – separately and together
Why: To restore, reconnect, and reimagine – leveraging FT scenarios work to (1) spark breakthroughs in our imagination of what’s possible in this moment, and (2) consider implications for our strategies and communications
When: September 18-21; please plan to arrive by the evening of Thursday 9/18; the program will run from Friday morning 9/19 through Saturday evening 9/20, with check-out Sunday morning 9/21
Where: The Garrison Institute, 14 Marys Way Route 9D, Garrison, NY 10524, a 1–1.5-hour train ride from Grand Central Terminal
Other Notes: Dress code will be casual. The building is surrounded by woods and stillness and used primarily for contemplative retreats; we will offer options for yoga and gentle hiking. Accommodations are intentionally simple and monastic—rooms are modest, and single-sex bathrooms are shared; most spaces do not have air-conditioning but the building has fans and passive cooling and temperatures should be moderate this time of year.

COVID-19
The health and safety of our guests and staff is a top priority for the Garrison Institute. To attend a retreat or event all guests, teachers, and staff are required to self-test (at home antigen test is acceptable) within the 48-hour window prior to arriving for a retreat on site, and to bring a 2nd self-test kit when coming on site. We encourage everyone to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and other illnesses before your visit.
