Ashwini Baitmangalkar is a licensed therapist currently integrated into a large primary care clinic. A graduate of Bangalore University in India and Pacific University in Oregon, she holds graduate degrees in Clinical Psychology (special interest in Indian Psychology) and Counseling (elective in Organizational Behavior). Her work spans two continents and multiple care settings.

Ashwini’s special area of interest is the impact of mental health concerns on physical health and overall wellbeing. She enjoys using mindfulness based interventions to help patients manage stress based illnesses and chronic health conditions. Currently, she is examining the role of spirituality on resilience. As a team lead, she regularly trains primary care teams on an integrated approach to care.

Another special area of interest is interventions to aid recovery of frontline workers from vicarious trauma. She has initiated a team based approach to reverse this in her current team and hopes to expand this across regional care teams in the coming months.
