Exploration of the inner journey has led me to explore contemplative traditions. For decades, I served as Clinician, Supervisor, Clinical Director in behavioral health non-profit organizations & school settings, while also teaching in Higher Education as an Adjunct Professor. I have a Ph.D from Smith College for Social Work; an MSW and a Master’s in Pastoral Ministry from Seton Hall University.
My expertise includes the intersection of addictions treatment with mindful self-regulation, reward based learning & self-compassion strategies (MBSR, MBRP, MSC. MORE, Habit Change /Dr. Brewer). Currently my focus is on helping Healthcare professionals with burnout prevention via self-compassion practices to promote resilience. Trained in a variety of models and qualified to facilitate Dr. Neff & Dr. Germer’s Self-Compassion for HealthCare program, as well as Nalanda Institute’s Compassion Resiliency program.
I believe in the power of the group as a change agent and seek to promote relational engagement with experiential learning. Explorations include Insight Dialogue, rhythm based music, sound healing, the creative arts, somatic approaches & Earth Awareness activities.
I am honored to serve with Garrison Institute in fulfilling the mission to promote transformation within the individual and the collective.
