Nkosinathi “Natty” Mncube is an experienced educator, artist, and restorative justice practitioner with more than 15 years of expertise spanning dance education, health and wellness, youth services, and curriculum development. He currently serves with the Department of Youth and Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) as a Restorative Justice Coordinator, Facilitator, and Trainer, working directly with young people residing in juvenile facilities.
In his role, Natty partners with stakeholders across DYRS facilities, community organizations, the Office of the Attorney General, and international collaborators to support healing-centered, youth-focused interventions. He is dedicated to advancing social, demographic, restorative, and environmental justice initiatives, helping create safe and empowering spaces were honest, holistic conversations can take root.
Natty’s restorative work centers on expanding dialogue to build inclusive THINKTANKS that examine harm, trauma, mental health, and paths toward resolution. He believes in creating environments that inspire young people to envision new possibilities—whether through exposure to diverse cultures, travel, or intentional self-care practices.
A lifelong learner and creative professional, Natty is also an avid traveler, camper, and road cyclist. His personal and professional interests intersect in his ongoing research on non‑traditional healing approaches and strategies that cultivate trust, camaraderie, and wellbeing within workspaces.
