Podcast: The Common Good

What does it mean to live for the common good?

To explore the threads that bind us all, the Garrison Institute, a non-profit organization exploring the intersection of contemplation and engaged action in the world, is launching the new podcast series, The Garrison Institute Presents. Hosted by the Garrison Institute co-founder, urban visionary and award-winning author Jonathan F.P. Rose, the show’s debut season, titled The Common Good, journeys into the nature of life, mind, and compassionate action, integrating:

  • The interdependent nature of life with Paul Hawken, environmental entrepreneur; Suzanne Simard, one of TIME’s 100 most influential people; Monica Gagliano, trailblazing plant intelligence researcher; and Siddhartha Mukherjee, Pulitzer Prize-winning author.
  • The nature of the mind with Dan Siegel, renowned psychiatrist and New York Times bestselling author.
  • Compassion in action with Sharon Salzberg, meditation pioneer and New York Times bestselling author, and others.
  • The common good, a worldview that helps us shift from the individual to the collective.
