The Garrison Institute Writer’s Circle seeks to hold space in our busy lives for creative practice. We meet monthly for a collaborative writing workshop that includes time for meditation, reflection, writing, and sharing. All writers are welcome to attend this free, ongoing program.

We will convene for a program of writing and workshopping that will adjust according to the needs of the group. If you would like to bring writing to workshop with the group, please bring at least three copies of your work, which should be an excerpt of no longer than five pages. This is not necessary in order to participate in the Circle, and we wish to welcome writers of all experience levels. The program will be about two hours.

Please join us on our next meeting,
on Wednesday, February 27th, 6:30-8:30pm.
If you plan to attend this workshop,
please email writerscircle@garrisoninsitute.org to RSVP.

Please bring the following:

  • Paper and pen/pencil for freewriting. If you have your own clipboard or notebook, that would be best.
  • Your preferred writing tool (laptop, tablet, notebook).
  • Maximum of five pages for workshopping. Unfortunately we cannot offer onsite printing or copying.
