Jennifer Hirsch, an applied anthropologist from Chicago, discusses the framework of “collaborative governance” for thinking about models and outcomes of community engagement for behavior change and sustainable community-building. Through case studies of climate action partnerships, she reveals a variety of ways in which local government can work together with communities to develop and implement projects that simultaneously advance regional and community goals.
