Why aren’t the discussions around “being green” more diverse? Is there something missing when the concept is being discussed amongst the masses, that various cultures, ages and backgrounds aren’t seen at the table? Angela Hurlock reflects on some of the lessons learned by Claretian Associates, a faith-based, non-profit in Chicago, as they took on the challenge of “going green” while serving low-income and immigrant families and educating both themselves and their neighborhood along the way.
