In this wide-ranging video interview, meditation teacher and psychotherapist Larry Yang discusses his experience as a gay man of color, his discovery of how Buddhist practice gave him “freedom from suffering around the cultural experience of difference,” his time as a monastic in Thailand, and how Insight Meditation, which derives from Southeast Asian traditions, relates to contemporary, multicultural society in North America.
