Your gift matters.

Below are some of the projects and programs that have been funded by generous donations from our supporters.

Wisdom Holder’s Circle

We are deeply grateful for the generosity of founding Wisdom Holder’s Circle members who have donated $5,000 or more to help us build on our pioneering leadership in the field, expand outreach and programming to underserved communities, and further our mission to build a more compassionate, resilient future. The Wisdom Holder’s Circle is a select group of Garrison Institute supporters who seek to build a future in which contemplative wisdom and methods are mainstream, and applied at scale to create the conditions for positive, systemic social and environmental change.

The Garrison Institute Labyrinth

success stories 3A seven-circuit spiral, boxwood-bordered labyrinth graces the Garrison Institute grounds, thanks to a generous gift from one of our donors. Labyrinths and spirals have had ritual and contemplative significance going back to Neolithic times, and are especially suited to walking meditation. This one is a living reminder of the spiraling, interconnected, organic, vital community that has grown up around the Institute, within which we work together to create transformative change.

Contemplative-Based Resilience (CBR) White Paper and Trainings

We published a white paper that integrates findings from more than 280 interdisciplinary research studies linking contemplative practice and resilience. Funding also supported the CBR trainings that took place at the Institute.

Retreat Scholarships

Funding has been provided so that people can attend our annual LGBTIQ retreat, educators and healthcare professionals can attend contemplative retreats, and those of Himalayan descent can attend retreats from Himalayan traditions.
